Editorial policy
Lasting Arts Journal aims to be clear about what we know, what we interpret and what our readers can expect from each piece. We value careful wording over grand claims.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, dates, quotations and other factual details against suitable sources before publication. Interpretations are presented as readings, not settled facts. We avoid unsupported claims and distinguish general suggestions from information that depends on a particular collection, venue or context.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. Any paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material will be clearly labelled where it appears. Partner placements are identified as such and are not presented as independent editorial recommendations.
Corrections
If a published piece contains an error, we review the report and correct confirmed mistakes. Where a change materially affects the meaning, we explain the correction in the piece. Readers can send corrections through the Contact page.
Images and illustration
Illustrations may be commissioned, sourced, created or AI-generated. When an illustration is AI-generated, we identify it as such. Images are not offered as evidence of an artwork, event or place unless their context is made clear.
Art deserves more than a passing glance
A short, attentive encounter can change how a work stays in memory. We make space for art without demanding a free afternoon.
